Eligibility Screening Committee

  • Eligibility Screening Committee (ESC) will decide the eligibility of the business schools at the registration stage. The scope of work includes the thorough review of registration application as per basic eligibility screening criteria. After completing the desk review of the registration application, the case shall be presented before ESC.  NBEAC secretariat notifies the decision to business school in writing within two (2) weeks of the decision. The letter indicates that if a business school does not qualify for registration, may avail the facility of pre-eligibility mentorship to complete the registration process within 06 months to 01 years’ time period. The letter also indicates the time period to reapply for registration. If a University qualifies for Self-Assessment Process(SAR), the ESC shall recommend a timeline to submit SAR.
  • The committee comprised of eight academicians including one international representation for a period of three years.
  • The committee meets three times per year preferably using video conferencing facility. 60% availability of quorum (overall attendance of five to six members) is required to decide the eligibility. Participation through Skype, video link or telephone is acceptable.
  • The academic members should be the current or former Deans of Universities awarded with 5 years and 3 years accredited business schools.
  • The members should be well-versed with the accreditation process.
