Subtheme 1: Driving Excellence through Strategic Academic and Industry Partnerships

Industry collaborations and research play the vital role in defining the contribution of a Business School and driving excellence. This theme will provide an avenue for establishing and exploiting the strategic partnerships and collaborations of business schools with the industry for providing niche solutions to specific business problems through research and consulting projects. The discussants will draw parallels with Business schools in Germany, Switzerland, China and other countries for developing successful partnerships of with relevant industry. |
Subtheme 2: Reshaping Curriculum and Pedagogical Innovation for Digital Natives

The Generative AI tools with large language models are changing the landscape of teaching and learning in tertiary education; in this perspective this theme will delineate the new frontiers in curriculum, pedagogy, and technology to change the classroom teaching and assessment practices. The discussion will revolve around alignment to the anticipated changes in the business education due to the technological disruption, innovative social spaces, and changing demands of the markets. It will further outline the response of the business school through reshaping the teaching-learning milieu to tech-savvy generations. |
Subtheme 3: Strengthening Faculty – Student Relationships

The role of the faculty members is becoming more challenging to realize the students’ perspective and be cognizant to the emerging needs of the upcoming generation. This theme will elaborate the role of faculty members of business school in redefining and strengthening the relationship of faculty and students in and outside the classrooms not only to optimize the learning but also creating the trust. It will further help in identifying the new roles and responsibilities that faculty members should adopt in order to fulfil the changing needs of millennials and Gen-Z. |
Subtheme 4: Achieving Sustainability through Business Education
|
Sustainability in business education can play a crucial role in resolving global environmental problems, fighting climate change and wealth inequality. Therefore, the development of tailored curriculum and instructions around sustainable development goals and best practices in academia and industry will help to understand the required initiatives both at policy and practice levels. This theme will deliberate upon the means and ways adopted by the business school to support and achieve the sustainable development goals in the national and international contexts. It will further discuss the role of deans, faculty members, and students in promoting the literacy, consolidating the advocacy, and aligning the resources to achieve the SDGs. |
Subtheme 5: Nurturing Responsible and Ethical Leadership in Business Schools

This theme will debate about creating an inclusive classroom environment, recruiting and retaining diverse faculty and staff members and fostering the culture of tolerance and peace through incorporating cross-cultural competence in Business Education. It will further deliberate the overarching role of ethical leadership in business schools that will permeate positivity, hope and optimism among all the stakeholders by leveraging equity, diversity, and inclusivity. In addition, it will also assist business schools in making and gauging their respective social impacts on the relevant stakeholders.

Subtheme 6: Rethinking Lifelong Learning and Executive Education
|
The two imperative key discourses, lifelong learning and the technological disruption, have been inextricably linked to offer a compelling narrative of the coupling of education models and technological change to enable individual empowerment, social inclusion and a shared prosperity. The discussion in this theme will guide the business schools to design customized executive education programs, micro-credentials and bite-sized professional development courses, blending online and on-site executive trainings in addressing the emerging skill gaps in early and mid-career professionals in the industry.
