NBEAC offers two types of mentoring programs:
- Pre-Eligibility Mentorship: This program targets those institutes that are at the initial stages of the accreditation process. If a Business School does not qualify for registration, they are required to avail the facility of pre-eligibility mentorship to complete the registration process within 06 months to one year time period.
1. NBEAC assigns a mentor who supports the School during the pre -eligibility stage leading up to the formal Application for Eligibility.
2. The main focus at this stage is to address the developmental needs identified during the Eligibility Screening Process to produce an updated Datasheet (Registration Application), which represents the School comprehensively and with sufficient clarity.
3. It is the responsibility of mentor to inform the business school about meeting the minimum criteria for accreditation process.
4. The mentor will also communicate the time required by Business School to submit the updated Registration Application (Datasheet). Normally, the University is provided with 06 month to 01 years’ time period to complete the formal Application for entry.
5. The pre-eligibility period ends once the Business School/ Dept. becomes eligible to enter in next stage of accreditation process i.e. Self-Assessment Report.
- Pre-Review Mentorship: After eligibility screening process, a university may or may not qualify for self-assessment process. If a University qualifies for self-assessment process, the Eligibility Screening Committee (ESC) shall recommend a timeline to submit the Self-Assessment Report (SAR). It is mandatory for the Business School to avail the facility of pre review mentoring to complete the SAR. The self-assessment process is expected to take about 8-12 weeks (starting from issuance date of Initial Eligibility Screening (IES) Letter, during which time the school is encouraged to take advice or make enquiries to NBEAC, either by phone, email or personal visits.
1. The visiting team is composed of 01-02 members. The mentor would not be in the PRP or business school team which prepares the SAR and chalks out steps for peer
review and accreditation.
2. It is the responsibility of mentor to cross check the data provided in the forms and inform the business school about any improvements required as per accreditation process.
3. The Business School will discuss the work conducted on SAR and may provide a brief presentation to the mentor (if requested).
4. The mentor will also communicate the time required by business school to submit the SAR.
5. If mentor provides go-ahead, only one copy of SAR is submitted for desk review at NBEAC secretariat.
6. The pre-review mentoring period ends once the business school/ dept. becomes eligible to enter in next stage of accreditation process i.e. Peer Review Process.
