The NBEAC re-accreditation process is an opportunity for previously accredited business schools to take stock of its mission and achievement and develop opportunities for further improvements. The challenges of the reaccreditation process are substantial, as is its importance. Everyone involved has to follow the NBEAC reaccreditation standards carefully, and keep the big picture in mind. Consider on one hand what being accredited does for the business school, and on the other hand consider how it allows the business school to reevaluate itself.

The purpose of the NBEAC re-accreditation is to determine whether business and accounting programs are playing their part in the continuous improvement in areas of engagement, innovation and impact as evidence of compliance with NBEAC standards.

With regard to this, NBEAC successfully completed a reaccreditation Visit at COMSATS Islamabad Campus on the 25th, 26th and 27th of Sept 2017. After a very cordial welcome by the university, brief discussions were held on the unique aspects of accreditation. The University tour was followed by six sessions on NBEAC standards the senior faculty members of the business school on the first day. The objective of this visit was in-depth review of the Business School based upon the nine key standards of NBEAC.

The three day extensive review involved meetings, discussions and interviews with management, faculty, students, alumni, Industry representatives, support staff, and observing the course delivery methods. The objective of Peer Review Team (PRT) is to make recommendations through gap analysis for the improvement of Business School.

The Peer Review team was comprised of Dr. Shaukat Brah (Founder Rector, KSBL), Dr. Zaki Rashidi,  (HoD & Professor, IQRA Karachi), Dr. Abdul Raziq (Associate Professor, BUITEMS, Quetta), Dr. Fiaz Ahmad (Assistant Professor, UET, IBM) , Mr. Athar Imran (Chief Executive Officer, Sybrid (Private) Limited) and Mr. Ahtesham Ali Raja ( Program Director, NBEAC).

A detailed report along with the accreditation decision will be communicated to the Institute after the 19th meeting of the council going to be held in December 2017.
