The NBEAC accreditation process provides public certification of acceptable institutional quality thus enhancing the reputation of an institution and its programmes and inspiring confidence in the educational community and the public it serves. The NBEAC accreditation visit is a key component of the NBEAC accreditation process. It ensures that the registered business school undergoing the accreditation process meets or exceeds the appropriate quality standards as laid down by NBEAC.
In connection to this, NBEAC successfully completed an accreditation visit at Preston University, Karachi on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of November 2017. After a cordial welcome by the business school, brief discussions were held regarding the distinctive characteristics and features of the NBEAC accreditation process. This was followed by a tour of the business school, which was later followed by six sessions on NBEAC standards with the heads of the of the business school on the first day. The objective of this visit was to obtain in-depth information concerning all administrative and educational aspects of the program and a thorough review of the Business School based upon the nine key standards of NBEAC.
The three day extensive review involved meetings, discussions and interviews with management, faculty, students, alumni, Industry representatives, support staff, and observing the course delivery methods. The objective of Peer Review Team (PRT) is to make recommendations through gap analysis for the improvement of Business School.
The Peer Review team comprised of Dr. Hamid Hassan (Professor & Dean, FAST_NU, Lahore), Mr. Basharat Hameed (Assistant Professor, Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar), Dr. Abdul Raziq ( Associate Professor, BUITEMS, Quetta), Dr. Samina Nawab (HoD & Associate Professor, COMSATS Wah), Syed Veqar ul Islam (CEO, Jaffer Brothers, Industry Expert) and Ms. Sania Tufail (Program Manager, NBEAC).
A detailed report along with the accreditation decision will be communicated to the business school after the next meeting of the council which is going to be held in December 2017.

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
