NBEAC accreditation provides assurance that a business schools program meets the quality standards of the profession for which that program prepares graduates. NBEAC accredits business schools according to their study program recognized by the Higher Education of Pakistan. The accreditation process is used by universities, colleges, and specific degree programs to clarify instructional goals and objectives, enhance program content, and improve program delivery.
With regard to this, The National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) peer review took place in IoBM Karachi from 29th Jan 2020 to 31st Jan 2020. The objective of this visit was in-depth review of the Business School based upon the nine key standards of NBEAC. The peer review team (PRT) held detailed formal and informal discussions with the President IoBM, Mr. Talib S. Karim, Rector IoBM, Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, Dean of COLLEGE OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (CBM), Dr. Amanat Ali Jalbani, and his colleagues in CBM while reviewing the self-assessment report in detail. PRT also had the opportunity to discuss the overall vision, mission and strategy of CBM and IoBM with the President and Rector. PRT also met various HODs, Program Coordinators, faculty members and senior members of the administrative staff of CBM to understand how the school is addressing the various dimensions that are included in the NBEAC standards. The PRT also had the opportunity to meet students of BBA and MBA programs and some Alumni besides visiting various facilities like the library and computing laboratories.
