The National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) peer review took place at LSE from 24-26 Feb 2020.The objective of this visit was in-depth review of the Business School based upon the nine key standards of NBEAC.
The PRT had detailed formal and informal discussions with the Vice Chancellor, Shahid Amjad Chaudhary, Pro Rector and Dean Faculty of Economics, Dr. Azam Chaudhary, Dean Faculty of Business Administration, Dr. Sohail Zafar and Group Coordinators while reviewing the self-assessment report in detail. The PRT also had the opportunity to discuss the overall vision, mission and strategy of LSE with the Vice Chancellor and later met the faculty members and senior members of the administrative staff. This aided the PRT in understanding how the School was addressing the various dimensions that are included in the NBEAC standards. The PRT also had the opportunity to meet students of BBA (Hons.), B.Sc. (Hons.) and MBA programmes and the alumni, besides visiting various facilities including the library and computing laboratories and observing various class sessions.
The members of the peer review team (PRT) are Dr. Asfia Obaid (HoD, NUST Business School (Chairperson PRT)), Dr. Niaz Bhutto (HoD, IBA Sukkur), Mr. Adil Amin Kazi (Assistant Professor, FAST NU Islamabad), Dr. Amber Gul (Director QEC, IBA Karachi), Mr. Usman Tahir (Director, Texlynx Development and Management Associates) and Ms. Sania Tufail (Senior Programme Manager Accreditation, NBEAC).

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
