The IBA’s reaccreditation visit by NBEAC Peer Review Team (PRT) took place on 03-05 October 2019. The objective of this visit was in-depth review of the Business School based upon the nine key standards of NBEAC.
The peer review team (PRT) held detailed formal and informal discussions with the Executive Director (Dr Farrukh Iqbal), Associate Dean of FBA (Dr Huma Baqai), Associate Dean of FCS (Dr Sayeed Ghani), Director QEC (Dr. Amber Gul Rashid) and their colleagues at IBA. The self-assessment report was reviewed and deliberated in detail by PRT in the presence of relevant faculty members and senior administrative representatives of the institute. This included discussions on vision, mission and strategy of the IBA to develop an understanding of how the institute’s strategies are aligned with NBEAC standards.
The PRT also had the opportunity to meet students of BBA and MBA programs and some Alumni besides visiting various facilities such as the library, examination control center, and computing laboratories. PRT members also sat through some class sessions and interacted with the students and faculty.
The Peer Review Team consist of the following members, Dr. Jawad Syed (Professor SDSB, LUMS), Dr. Naukhez Sarwar (Dean, NUST business School), Dr. Sadia Nadeem (Dean, FAST School of Management, FAST_NU Islamabad), Dr. Idrees Khawaja (Dean, Air University Islamabad), Dr. Arshad Khan (HR Policies Wing, National Bank of Pakistan), Mr. Ahtesham Ali Raja (Program Director, NBEAC).

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
