The National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) peer review took place in CECOS University, Peshawar from 17th to 19st June 2019. The objective of this visit was in-depth review of the Business School based upon the nine key standards of NBEAC
During the visit, the peer review team (PRT) held detailed formal discussions with the Vice Chancellor CECOS, the Dean Department of Management Sciences Dr. Nasir Karim and the Department Chairman, Dr. Fahad Khan Afridi. The PRT also had an opportunity to discuss the vision, mission and strategy of CECOS University, Peshawar with the Vice Chancellor and met the faculty and senior members of the administrative staff to understand how the University / Department is addressing the various dimensions that are included in the NBEAC standards. The PRT also had the opportunity to visit classrooms, meet students of the BBA program, some Alumni and an employer, aside from visiting various facilities like the library, classrooms, computing labs etc.
Peer Review Team members were Dr. Asfia Obaid (HoD, NUST Business School , NUST Islamabad), Dr. Ali Ahsan (Dean, Foundation University, Islamabad), Dr. Amjad Masood (Assistant Professor, KFUEIT, Rahimyar Khan), Mr. Asif Jamal (Director , Shiraz Group), Mr. Usman Jadoon (Assistant Manager, Accreditation NBEAC).
A verbal feedback was provided at the end of the visit. A detailed report along with the accreditation decision communicated to the university after the Council Meeting.

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
