The National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) peer review visit took place at Foundation University, Islamabad from 29th December 2021 to 31st December 2021. The objective of this visit was an in-depth review of the Business School based upon the nine key standards of NBEAC.
The peer review panel (PRP) held detailed formal and informal discussions with Rector, (Maj Gen Nasir Dilawar Shah, HI(M) (Retd)), Dr. Ajmal Waheed (Dean FMS), Dr. Qaisar Ali Malik (HoD), Dr. Amir Gulzar (Registrar), and Dr. Sajjad (focal person and faculty members of DBA), Director QEC, Director Admission office, Exam controller, different Administrative Heads, faculty members and students while reviewing the self-assessment report in detail. PRP also had the opportunity to discuss the overall vision, mission and strategy with different stakeholders to understand how the school was addressing the various dimensions that are included in the NBEAC standards. The members of the peer review team (PRT) were Dr. Niaz Ahmed Bhutto (Professor, IBA Sukkur), Dr. Razaullah (Associate Professor, Islamia College, Peshawar), Dr. Waqar Alam (HoD, Management Sciences, Abasyn University Peshawar), Mr. Bilal Nawaz (Hub Manager/VP-SME, bank of Punjab), Ms. Sania Tufail (Senior Program Manager, NBEAC).
A detailed report along with the accreditation decision will be communicated to the Institute after the council’s 28th meeting.

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
