The National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) peer review visit took place at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST), Islamabad from 23rd February 2022 to 25th February 2022. The objective of this visit was an in-depth review of the Business School based upon the nine key standards of NBEAC.
The peer review panel (PRP) held detailed formal and informal discussions with Dr. Aftab Maroof (Rector), Dr. Ayub Siddiqui (Dean FSM), Dr. Muhammad Bilal Saeed (HoD), Dr. Waseem Ikram (Registrar), and Dr. Shuja ul Islam (focal person) and faculty members of FSM), Director QEC, Director Admission office, Exam controller, different Administrative Heads, faculty members and students while reviewing the self-assessment report in detail. PRP also had the opportunity to discuss the overall vision, mission and strategy with different stakeholders to understand how the school was addressing the various dimensions that are included in the NBEAC standards. The members of the peer review team (PRT) were Dr. Kumail Abbas Rizvi (Associate Professor, LUMS), Dr. Iftikhar ul Amin (Assistant Professor, IMSciences, Peshawar), Dr. Shujaat Mubarik (Dean, IoBM, Karachi), Mr. Mansoor Qadir (Director Regulatory Affairs, Jazz), Mrs. Sania Tufail (Senior Program Manager-Accreditations, NBEAC).
A detailed report along with the accreditation decision will be communicated to the Institute after the council’s 29th meeting.

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
