Achieving reaccreditation is a rigorous process that includes self-evaluation and in depth peer review. Business and accounting programs must demonstrate continuous improvement in the areas of engagement, innovation and impact as evidence of compliance with NBEAC standards. Business Schools must not only meet specific standards of excellence, but their deans, faculties and staffs must make a commitment to ongoing improvement to ensure that the institution will continue to deliver high quality education to students
With regard to this, NBEAC successfully completed a reaccreditation Visit at the Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Department of Commerce on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of March 2017. After the warm welcome by the Patron, a brief discussion was held on the unique aspects of accreditation. The University tour was followed by six sessions on NBEAC standards the senior faculty members of the business school on the first day. The objective of this visit was in-depth review of the Business School based upon the nine key standards of NBEAC.
The three day extensive review involved meetings, discussions and interviews with management, faculty, students, alumni, Industry representatives, support staff, and observing the course delivery methods. The objective of Peer Review Team (PRT) is to make recommendations through gap analysis for the improvement of Business School.
The Peer Review team comprised of Dr. Sadia Nadeem (Associate Professor, FAST School of Management FAST-NU, Islamabad), Dr. Saqib Gulzar (Associate Professor, Management Sciences Dept. COMSATS Institute of Information & Technology, Wah Campus ) , Dr. Fouzia Ali ( Assistant Professor, Hailey College of Commerce, University of Punjab, Lahore) , Dr. Rao Raza Hashim (Assistant Professor, Forman Christian College, Lahore), Mr. Yasir Malik (Relationship Manager Merchant Acquiring, Bank Alfalah, Multan) and Ms. Sania Tufail (Program Manager, NBEAC).
A detailed report along with the accreditation decision will be communicated to the Institute after the 18th meeting of the council going to be held in June 2017.

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
