AACSB conducted an online seminar jointly with NBEAC on 7th of October 2021. The seminar was organized in connection with the MOU signed between NBEAC & AACSB on collaboration on 4th of February 2021. The session started with the welcome note from Dr. Farrukh Iqbal- Chairman NBEAC and focuses on the AACSB accreditation philosophy, and how a business school can get started with the initial process of Accreditation. Followed with opening comments from Caryn L. Beck-Dudley- President and CEO, AACSB. Caryn talked about the role played by AACSB globally for its members and its impact on society and communities through AACSB 2020 standards and the alignment of standards with Sustainable Development Goals. Moreover, this session was planned exclusively for the accredited schools of NBEAC. The session was well attended by around 85 participants from different universities across Pakistan who wish to apply for AACSB accreditation or learn about 2020 Standards and accreditation philosophy along with tips for a successful accreditation journey, leveraging AACSB's business education alliance to aid the accreditation process followed by Live Q&A session.
Dr. Geoff Perry- Executive Vice President and Chief Membership Officer and Managing Director Asia Pacific, AACSB, gave a detailed presentation to Deans of Business Schools about the benefits of AACSB membership and specifically the accreditation and what value AACSB accreditation can bring to business school including continuous growth, producing better graduates, ensuring quality teaching and commitment to quality and improvement. Ms. Amy Memon- Regional Head, South Asia, AACSB gave an overview about process starting from Initial accreditation, mentoring and award of accreditation and continuous improvement process. She talked briefly about 2020 accreditation standards and four quadrants along with timelines of AACSB accreditation, eligibility requirements, cost involved and guidelines for completion and award of accreditation,
Dr. Fazal Jawad Seyyed, who served as a Director of Accreditation at Suleman Dawood School of Business, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) shared his experiences and insights on leading an accreditation journey at LUMS and responded to questions of audience. Participants appreciated the quality of information shared by facilitators and appreciated the collaboration between AACSB and NBEAC and requested to arrange advanced level sessions in future.

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
