Workshop - “Mantra of Corporate Connect and Community Engagement” 

Objectives:

  1. Conceptual understanding of NBEAC standard and criteria related to Corporate Linkages and Social Responsibility
  2. Connecting Business School to Industry and Community for impact
  3. Developing the policy, process, and people for National and International Linkages
  4. Generating meaningful activities and measuring the impact
  5. Sustaining the linkages and building long term relationship with industry

Learning Outcomes:

After attending this workshop, the participants will be able to:

  1. Recognize and appraise the importance of NBEAC standard of Corporate and Industry relationship
  2. Develop and promote shared understanding among key stakeholders
  3. Align Business School’s vision, mission and strategy to the needs of industry and community
  4. Formulate policy and feature the team for industry and community linkages
  5. Outline a proper procedure of national and international linkages
  6. Employ and engage the faculty and students in meaningful activities
  7. Measure and evaluate the impact of linkages and activities
  8. Manage and sustain long term collaborations for socio-economic change

Transfers, Refunds & Replacement:

  1. Replacement
    Replacement of participant from same business school is possible. However, 10% addition in the registration fee will be charged to participant in case of replacement .
  2. Transfer
    It is possible to transfer deposited fee to any open registration of upcoming workshop within 3 months. In case the participant or sponsoring business school fails to claim the fee within 3 months, the deposited fee will be forfeited.
  3. Cancellation
    In case of cancellation, half fee will be refunded, to cover the administrative costs. If a participant would like to cancel their name from a workshop they are required to notify in writing and should also call for confirmation.

Notes:

  1. Workshop/Seminar Registration Fee: 40,000 /-PKR.
  2. In case of replacements, transfer and refund, participant should officially notify via email/letter to NBEAC 10 working days prior to the workshop. After that NBEAC will not entertain any claims and changes.
  3. NBEAC may cancel or postpone a workshop/program due to insufficient registration or unforeseen** circumstances. In this case, NBEAC will refund registration fee but will not be responsible for any other related expenses including cancellation charges by airline and travel agencies.
  4. In case of postponement, the fee may be transferred to the rescheduled offering of that workshop or any other workshop as an alternate to refund. The NBEAC reserves the right to make changes in its program policies and fees at any time.

** If unforeseen circumstances occurs during the workshop and one day before the scheduled workshop, NBEAC will not refund the registration fee.

Business Schools are an integral part of the society, community and the region in which they are located. They serve to promote local industry, protect local heritage, debate policies impacting their region and the country at large, and provide education and training addressing local needs. National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) is therefore supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing collaboration between academia and industry and government, with focus on developing relevant education and research and development programs at the academic institutions. In a pioneer effort, NBEAC-Training and Development Wing conducted a customized 2-day programme on “Mantra of Corporate Connect and Community Engagement” on 21st – 22nd of January 2019 at Air University, Islamabad.
Designed by Dr. Zaki Rashidi (Director ORIC /Associate Dean Accreditation, IQRA University), Prof. Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui (Vice Chancellor, Sukkur IBA University) and Mr. Moshin Lodhi (Enterprise Trainer and Executive Development Coach), the programme consisted of 6 sessions which were based on conceptual understanding of NBEAC standards and criteria related to Corporate Linkages and Social Responsibility, connecting Business School to Industry for impact, developing policy, process, and people for National and International Linkages, generating meaningful activities and measuring the impact, connecting Business School to society for impact and lastly aligning and sustaining the linkages with Industry and Community. The combination of methodologies was well-received and participants appreciated the exposure and insights provided by the consultants.

In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters.
