NBEAC Training & Development Wing (TDW) successfully organized a one day workshop on “NBEAC accreditation framework” on 8th April 2019 at Emerald Hall-A, PC Lahore.
Theis workshop was designed to provide with an understanding of Business school’s eligibility and readiness to meet the NBEAC accreditation standards within the suggested timeline for the accreditation process. Using examples, Dr. Zaki provided with insights needed to evaluate where theiryour school is in terms of addressing the standards and eligibility criteria, while taking into consideration key factors that influence a Business school’s accreditation ability: leadership’s commitment, faculty buy-in, faculty resource characteristics, mission, and strategy.
The workshop was carefully designed to cater to the needs of Business Schools pursuing either first time accreditation or is in the process of re-accreditation. Major focus of this workshop was on the resolution of tactical and operational issues and more importantly their alignment with the strategic objectives, vision and mission of the Business School..
Different strategies were also shared with the participant regarding how their school can get started on the accreditation journey and acquire the fundamentals related to accreditation. Networking opportunities were also provided to the participants in order to increase their knowledge base.
Participants learned different strategies on how to get your school started on the accreditation journey and acquire the fundamentals related to accreditation. Every participant had an opportunity to network with participants from other schools and they learned from each other during the workshop.
Dr. Zaki discussed different aAspects broadly relating to in-depth understanding of the accreditation process, improving the ability to compile NBEAC documentations such as registration of applications, SAR, CIR and appendices, kKnowledge enhancement regarding the documents required during peer review visit and rRefining of the capability to arrange and manage an efficient peer review visit was being done at the workshop.
The workshop was attended by around 30 participants and it involved the discussion regarding the philosophy of accreditation life cycle and guidance was being provided relating to all the challenges being faced by the Business Schools.

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
