NBEAC Training and Development Wing (TDW) is pleased to announce an online workshop based on three(3) sessions (on three different days) on “NBEAC Quality Standards” via Zoom. This workshop is designed by experienced peer reviewers and trainers, in order to address the issues of the Business Schools in accreditation process and improve their understanding regarding accreditation standards and criteria. In this workshop the trainers will share the expectations peer reviewers and NBEAC from a Business school during the whole accreditation process. The trainers will focus on the standards and criteria which are important for the quality enhancement of the business schools. A combination of peer learning and guidance by the trainers will help Business Schools to identify ways to improve and maintain their quality of education. |

NBEAC successfully organized an online workshop titled “NBEAC Quality Standards 1 to 9” via Zoom. The workshop was designed by NBEAC’s experienced peer reviewers and trainers and divided into three sessions that were scheduled on three different days, in order to address the issues of the Business Schools in accreditation process and improve their understanding regarding accreditation standards and criteria. The trainers shared the expectations of peer reviewers and NBEAC throughout the accreditation process from a Business school. The trainers focused on the standards and criteria that were important for the quality enhancement of the business schools. A combination of peer learning and guidance by the trainers will help Business Schools in future to identify ways to improve and maintain their quality of education and making them qualified for NBEAC Accreditation.
Session 1 was conducted on 29th of October and delivered by Dr. Shaukat Brah, Dr. Syed Zahoor Hassan and Dr. Zaki Rashidi, and focused on three key areas of Strategic Management, Faculty and R&D. Session 2 was conducted on 10th of November and delivered by Dr. Hamid Hassan and Dr. Fouzia Ali, and focused on Standards; Students, Curriculum and Admission and Examination Policy whereas, session 3 was conducted on 13th of November and delivered by Dr. Naveda Kitchlew and Mr. Mohsin Nishat, with focus on Social Responsibility, External Linkages and Resources.
The workshop was attended by around 50 participants including Vice Chancellors, Deans, Directors, Department Chairs and Associate Deans and Professors representing different regions all over Pakistan. Feedback received from participants was fairly positive and participants learned a lot by clearing concepts about the standards of accreditation however NBEAC is further planning to conduct an in depth training of 9 forms of standards of accreditation so that more universities would be capable of earning accreditation of its programs ultimately achieving the goal of uplifting business education in Pakistan.

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
