Online Workshop- “Improving Accreditation Prospects: Priority Areas”

Objectives/ Purpose:

Despite having interacted with the different accreditation and regulatory bodies, a large number of Business Schools in Pakistan are still facing huge challenges when it comes to the NBEAC business accreditation. This view is heavily supported by the data that shows a constant decline in the number of accredited business schools as well as huge disparity and inequality of ranks within the accredited business schools.
Given the formal acceptance of NBEAC accreditation as a symbol of consistent and satisfactory performance by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the importance of getting accredited is augmented and Business Schools are facing huge challenges in this regard.
The foundation of this workshop is built on the large set of data accumulated by the NBEAC secretariat for over a decade. Critical analysis of this dataset would help participants understand the strengths and the weaknesses of different institutions and how they can be linked with the accreditation status of Business Schools. Ultimate goal of this workshop is to provide participants a clear understanding of first, the critical factors creating differentiation in the accreditation status of Business schools. Secondly, what are the challenges faced by the Business schools in different categories (W, X, Y etc.) and how can they develop a strategy to face and overcome those challenges while undergoing accreditation or reaccreditation

Learning Outcomes:
