Workshop - "Developing Policies for a Business School"

Workshop Description:

This two-day workshop aims to discuss ways to enhance quality of business education in Pakistan by focusing on developing policies and identifying steps to improve the use of policies in business schools. The trainers will focus on the development of policies in general, with specific examples related to policies as required by the NBEAC standards. Discussions will be at philosophical and practical levels, with the aim to refine each other’s understanding of which policies are required and why. A combination of peer learning and guidance by the trainers will help the participants identify ways to improve existing policies in their business schools and develop policies in additional areas.

Learning Outcomes:

Following are the key learning outcomes of the workshop:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the philosophy behind developing policies for a business school.
  • Identify areas where policies are required for the smooth functioning of a business school.
  • Identify areas where one’s business schools has policies, and areas where policies need to be developed, in general, and as per NBEAC requirements.
  • Evaluate policy documents, to identify strengths and weaknesses, leading to the ability to improve existing policies and develop new policies.
  • Design specific steps to improve the use of policies to enhance the quality of business education and the accreditation of scores of one’s business school.

 

Who Should Attend:

This workshop is designed for the business schools who may or may not be involved in the accreditation/reaccreditation process. It is relevant for Deans, Associate Deans, HoDs, NBEAC focal persons, and those in-charge of accreditation and quality enhancement. Participants may or may not have knowledge of the NBEAC accreditation standards, though such knowledge may add value to the learning experience.

  2. Dr. Sadia Nadeem, Head of the FAST School of Management, (FAST NUCES), Islamabad

Notes:

  1. Workshop Registration Fee: 30,000/-PKR.
  2. In case of replacements, transfer and refund, participant should officially notify via email/letter to NBEAC 10 working days prior to the workshop. After that NBEAC will not entertain any claims and changes.
  3. NBEAC may cancel or postpone a workshop/program due to insufficient registration or unforeseen** circumstances. In this case, NBEAC will refund registration fee but will not be responsible for any other related expenses including cancellation charges by airline and travel agencies.
  4. In case of postponement, the fee may be transferred to the rescheduled offering of that workshop or any other workshop as an alternate to refund. The NBEAC reserves the right to make changes in its program policies and fees at any time.

**if unforeseen circumstances occurs during the workshop and one day before the scheduled workshop, NBEAC will not refund the registration fee.
