The Training and Development Wing of NBEAC conducted a two-day training on Industry-Academia Liaison, held on March 5th & 6th, 2024. This program aimed to furnish strategic and operational guidance to senior management and faculty of business schools and departments, emphasizing the establishment of linkages with businesses and communities to fulfill the institution's mission. Dr. Syed Zahoor Hassan, Professor Emeritus & Former Vice Chancellor of LUMS, Lahore, served as the facilitator for the program.
Over 30 participants, including Deans, Directors, ORIC representatives, and HODs from universities across Pakistan, attended the program. Additionally, representatives from the banking sector and hospitality industry were invited to share their challenges in developing linkages with business schools.
The trainer provided detailed guidance on establishing Industry-Academia linkages through various sessions, drawing from both theoretical frameworks and personal experiences, particularly highlighting liaison establishment at LUMS. The concluding session addressed factors contributing to gaps in establishing liaisons and proposed solutions to overcome these challenges.
