Workshop - “Introduction to NBEAC Standards” 

Introduction:

The National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC), under the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, provides a framework for improving the quality and competitiveness of business schools. Accreditation helps institutions benchmark their practices, enhance credibility, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

This interactive session is designed to introduce participants to the NBEAC standards, accreditation process, and requirements. It will guide institutions on how to prepare for accreditation by understanding the standards, documentation, and self-assessment process..

Learning Outcoms:

1. Understand the purpose and benefits of NBEAC accreditation.

2. Identify and describe the NBEAC standards and their focus areas.

3. Understand the self-assessment and peer review process.

4. Recognize the documentation and evidence required for accreditation.

5. Develop a basic roadmap and action plan for institutional readiness

Who Should Attend:

1. Deans, Directors, and Senior Leadership of business schools.

2 Quality Assurance and Accreditation Teams.

3. Program Directors/Coordinators (BBA, MBA, Executive Programs).

4. Faculty members are involved in curriculum development and research.

5. Administrative staff responsible for institutional data and reporting.

Notes:

  1. Workshop/Seminar Registration Fee:  15,000/-PKR.
  2. In case of replacements, transfer and refund, participant should officially notify via email/letter to NBEAC 10 working days prior to the workshop. After that NBEAC will not entertain any claims and changes.
  3. NBEAC may cancel or postpone a workshop/program due to insufficient registration or unforeseen** circumstances. In this case, NBEAC will refund registration fee but will not be responsible for any other related expenses including cancellation charges by airline and travel agencies.
  4. In case of postponement, the fee may be transferred to the rescheduled offering of that workshop or any other workshop as an alternate to refund. The NBEAC reserves the right to make changes in its program policies and fees at any time.

** If unforeseen circumstances occurs during the workshop and one day before the scheduled workshop, NBEAC will not refund the registration fee.

The National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC), under the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, successfully conducted an online training session titled “Introduction to NBEAC Standards” on August 13, 2025. The session was organized by the Training & Development Wing (TDW) and aimed to familiarize participants with NBEAC’s accreditation framework, standards, processes, and requirements.

The training provided an overview of how accreditation helps business schools benchmark their practices, enhance credibility, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Participants were guided through the NBEAC standards, self-assessment procedures, peer review process, and the documentation and evidence required for accreditation. The session also focused on developing a basic roadmap and action plan for institutional readiness.

Facilitated by Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Khan (Assistant Professor / Director EDC, PIDE, Islamabad) and Dr. Abdul Raziq (Dean & Professor, BUITEMS Quetta), the program attracted more than 35 Deans, Directors, senior leadership of business schools, quality assurance and accreditation teams, program directors/coordinators, faculty members, and administrative staff responsible for institutional data and reporting.

The interactive session encouraged participants to engage in discussions and share best practices, ensuring they are better equipped to initiate and successfully complete the NBEAC accreditation process.

About NBEAC

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
