National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) successfully convened its 16th Council meeting on the 19th of July 2016. The meeting took place at Mural Hall, Higher Education Commission Islamabad, Pakistan.

To begin the auspicious meeting of the council Mr. Ahtesham Ali Raja (Program Director, NBEAC) recited few verses from the Holy Quran.

Dr. Hasan Sohaib Murad (Chairman, NBEAC) chaired the meeting and delivered a very thought provoking and positive welcome note. He acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the NBEAC Secretariat regarding its continuous efforts on working effectively and efficiently and spreading the awareness regarding accreditation of business programs.  He shared his enthusiasm and firm belief that distinguished Council members are the great assets to us. He stated that with the help of their critical evaluation, devotion and dedication, Council is being able to focus on new challenges to improve the business education in Pakistan. Brussels training is Indeed it is another milestone for NBEAC which not only helped in enhancing the skills and expertise of the team but by in large will prove to be helpful in strengthening the relationship of EFMD and NBEAC. 

The peer review reports along with the quantitative score were presented before the council for accreditation decision. Accreditation decision of ten institutions have been approved by the council.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Muhammad Nishat (Vice Chairman, NBEAC) , Dr. Syed Zahoor Hassan (Professor, LUMS), Dr. Farooq-E-Azam Cheema (Dean, Bahria University), Dr. Jan Muhammad ( Director, Institute of Management Sciences, University of Balochistan, Quetta), Dr. Sadia Nadeem (Associate Professor, FAST School of Management , FAST NU ISB), Dr. Ghulam Ghous (Vice Chancellor, UMSIT, Kotli, AJK), Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan ( Director, IMSciences, Peshawar), Prof. Amanullah Khan ( Dean, FMS, RIU), Dr. Shahid Amjad Chaudhry (Rector, LSE) Ms. Sania Tufail ( Program Manager, NBEAC).

Professor Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed (Chairman, Higher Education Commission Pakistan) and Dr. Arshad Ali (Executive Director, HEC) appreciated the efforts of NBEAC.
