NBEAC’s 19^th council meeting was held on the Feb 06th, 2018 at Pearl Continental, Karachi. The meeting was presided over by Prof. Dr. Hassan Sohaib Murad (Chairman, NBEAC).

The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Dr. Farooq-e-Azam Cheema. All the Council members congratulated the Chairman NBEAC and secretariat for holding another successful Deans and Directors Conference. Dr. Hasan Sohaib Murad appreciated the efforts and hard work of NBEAC Secretariat and the Council members. Council members commend the efforts of Dr. Rafiq Baloch, Ex-DG, Quality Assurance Agency, HEC. Dr. Hasan recommended to write letter of appreciation to Dr. Rafiq Baloch for recognizing his efforts for NBEAC throughout his tenure. The Council members welcomed Dr. Riaz Khalid on board appointed as a new advisor of QAA.

Mr Ahtesham Ali Raja (Program Director, NBEAC) briefed the house regarding the agenda items which were then deliberated by the Council.

The accreditation visit of eight business schools were conducted. Accreditation Awarding Decision of all business schools were presented and thoroughly discussed by the Council.

As per the accreditation awarding notification 2 business schools have been granted W category accreditation by NBEAC these universities include:

1. IBA Sukkur.
2. University of Management & Technology, Lahore.

While 2 universities have been awarded X category of accreditation these include:

1. of Management Science, COMSATS Islamabad.
2. Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar

It was proposed by Advisor QAA to issue the registration cards to business students. The practice should be adopted by NBEAC like other HEC councils.

It was suggested by Council members to review the quality of de-briefing session as per the institutional feedback received from business schools. It was also suggested to take institutional feedback from the highest authority of the business school i.e. VC/ Rector/ Campus Director.
