The Twenty Fourth Council Meeting of National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) was held on June 23, 2020 from 04:00pm to 06:30pm online through Zoom. The meeting was moderated by Ms. Sania Tufail, Senior Program Manager, NBEAC. The agenda of the meeting was confirmation of minutes of the 23rd meeting of NBEAC, actions taken on decisions of the 23rd Council meeting, recent Decisions by the Accreditation Award Committee, issues for discussion, NBEAC annual budget FY (2020-2021), Income and expense report FY (2019-2020), and Quarterly Progress Report (Feb 2020-June 2020).
Dr. Farrukh Iqbal (Chairman NBEAC) welcomed the members to the 24th council meeting. One minute silent was observed for the Prof. Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui (Late) and all members prayed for his forgiveness. Dr. Farrukh suggested for commemoration of Prof. Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui in the coming Deans and Directors Conference and all members endorsed the idea. Mr. Ahtesham Ali Raja, PD-NBEAC recited few verses of Holy Quran and introduced the agenda items. Three business schools had been considered for NBEAC accreditation since the last council meeting. The recommendations of Accreditation Award Committee (AAC) were presented before the Council. The Council members unanimously approved the recommendations of Accreditation Award Committee (AAC).
Council members thoroughly reviewed income and expense report FY 2019-20 and provided satisfactory comments and approved the budget for FY 2020-21.

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
