Ninth Accreditation Award Committee (AAC) meeting of National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) was held on December 01, 2020 through online Zoom session. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Zaki Rashidi, Chairman AAC. The agenda items were to discuss the comments on peer review reports of five Universities.
The meeting commenced with Ms. Sania Tufail (Senior Program Manager, NBEAC) welcoming the committee members. Ms. Sania Tufail briefed the committee regarding the agenda items which were then discussed in detail by the committee. The committee members appreciated and acknowledged the efforts of the secretariat regarding Peer Review visits. The committee was presented with the Peer review reports of five universities for the purpose of reviewing whether the universities were eligible to enter the next stage of Accreditation process. Committee member discussed about Peer review reports along with the supporting documents which were shared with them in advance. Out of these, 04 universities awarded 3 year accreditation (X category) and the one is recommended the major revisions in various sections of the peer review report.
Dr. Zaki rashidi (Associate Dean Management Sciences & Director (Quality, Learning and Innovation), IQRA University, Karachi(Chairperson)), Dr. Farooq-e-Azam Cheema (Provost, KSBL, Karachi), Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Khan (Director, Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar ), Dr. Asfia Obaid (Associate Dean Management Sciences & Director (HoD, NUST Business School), Dr. Kumail Abbas Rizvi (Professor , Lahore School of Economics(LSE)), Ms. Sania Tufail (Senior Program Manager , NBEAC), Mr. Usman Ali Jadoon (Assistant Manager NBEAC), and Mr. Muhammad Irfan khan (Assistant Manager NBEAC), participated through the whole session.

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
