The Twelfth Eligibility Screening Committee Meeting of the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) was held on October 12, 2021, from 02.00 pm to 04.00 pm, through Online Zoom Session. The meeting was moderated by Mr. Ahtesham Ali Raja, Program Director, NBEAC. The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the eligibility of the 09 registration applications received.
The meeting commenced with Mr. Ahtesham Ali Raja, (Program Director, NBEAC) welcoming the committee members. Mr. Ahtesham Ali Raja, (Program Director, NBEAC) briefed the committee regarding the agenda items which were then discussed in detail by the committee. The committee members appreciated and acknowledged the efforts of the secretariat regarding the desk review of registration applications. The committee was presented with the registration applications and the initial desk review reports of 09 universities for the purpose of reviewing whether the universities were eligible to enter the next stage of the Accreditation process. Committee members discussed 09 applications along with the supporting documents which were shared with them in advance. Out of these, 04 cases were eligible to commence the self-assessment reports, 02 cases were given a conditional go-ahead subject to the provision of additional documents whereas 03 cases were deferred.
Dr. Naukhez Sarwar (Vice Chairman, NBEAC), Dr. Zahoor Hassan Syed (Former VC, LUMS), Dr. Irfan Hyder (VC, Ziauddin University, Karachi), Dr. Sadia Nadeem (Professor, FAST School of Management, FAST nu, Islamabad), Dr. Imran Wazir (Associate Professor, Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar), Dr. Naveda Kitchlew (Associate Dean, University of Management & Technology, Lahore), Mr. Mohsin Nishat (Head HR, Sapphire Group of Companies, Lahore), Mr. Ahtesham Ali Raja (Program Director, NBEAC), Mr. Usman Ali Jadoon (Assistant Manager Accreditation, NBEAC) and Mr. Muhammad Irfan khan (Assistant Manager Accreditation, NBEAC), were present during the session.

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
