[Karachi, November 28, 2024] – A two-day workshop, “Accreditation Strategies: Understanding the Revised NBEAC Accreditation Standards,” is being held by the National Business Education Accreditation Council in collaboration with the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi. The event brings together senior faculty members and university administrators to explore the latest accreditation standards introduced by NBEAC (Version 4.0).

Facilitated by Dr. Farooq-e-Azam Cheema, Provost at KSBL and Vice Chairman of NBEAC, the workshop focuses on equipping participants with a comprehensive understanding of the revised accreditation framework, covering seven key performance areas and actionable strategies to efficiently navigate the accreditation process.

The workshop is designed to empower participants with a comprehensive understanding of quality assurance in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and its impact on institutional performance. It provides valuable insights into the relationship between quality assurance and the accreditation process, offering a clear roadmap for navigating the NBEAC accreditation journey. Participants will gain strategies to efficiently pursue accreditation under the updated standards while acquiring detailed knowledge of the seven performance areas outlined in the NBEAC standards, including their structure, specific requirements, and methods for ensuring compliance.

The workshop has drawn over 50 esteemed participants, including Deans, Associate Deans, Heads of Departments, NBEAC focal persons, and QEC personnel from universities across Pakistan.

This initiative is generously supported by leading institutions, including NUST, The University of Lahore, SZABIST, Forman Christian College, Lahore Garrison University (LGU), University of Central Punjab (UCP), and Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS).

About NBEAC

NBEAC has three main functions: accreditation, training and networking. In its accreditation function, it develops and implements standards to improve the quality of business education in Pakistan. In its training function, it provides opportunities to faculty and managers to learn about quality standards and related matters. In its networking function, it provides a forum for business education professionals to learn from each other through conferences and seminars.
